Recently, CP Group supported the educational sector, including Wat Ko Phet Community School in Nakhon Si Thammarat, during the 2024 National Science Week under the theme “Blue World: The Science of Oceans.” The event brought together various local partners, including the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Fisheries Office, Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (Area 5), Ko Phet Subdistrict Municipality, Hua Sai Coastal Fisheries Association, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University’s Faculty of Education, general science program, teachers, students, and local businesses, including CP Group subsidiaries such as Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) and CP Extra Public Company Limited, the operator of Lotus’s retail stores. Over 500 participants attended the event at Wat Ko Phet Community School, Hua Sai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat.

At the event, CP Group showcased the innovative "Crab Bank" project, part of its "SEACOSYSTEM for Sustainable Thai Seas" initiative, as part of an exhibition to educate and inspire the children and youth attending the school’s Science Week. The innovation was designed to emphasize the importance of marine resources, sparking creative ideas and encouraging the development of new concepts that benefit society and the environment. The Crab Bank initiative was developed with a focus on addressing the decline in aquatic resources by using innovation to increase marine life populations, enhance biodiversity, and support sustainable livelihoods for coastal fishing communities, ensuring they have access to food sources and stable incomes.

Moreover, CP Group participated as judges in the science skill competitions related to marine topics, aligning with its educational policy to empower children and youth with the knowledge and skills needed to play a crucial role in conserving and protecting natural resources and the environment in the future.

CP Group continues to drive marine sustainability projects in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 14, which focuses on conserving and sustainably using marine resources. The group's initiatives cover 10 provinces across the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea, including Chanthaburi, Trat, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Krabi, Trang, Satun, Pattani, and Narathiwat. The goal is to conserve and restore marine resources while developing sustainable livelihoods for local fishing communities, using appropriate fishing tools, and increasing community incomes, thereby creating a balanced and sustainable approach across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
