In this regard, both parties exchanged views and engaged in friendly discussions. Senior Chairman Dhanin Chearavanont emphasized the importance of this cooperation agreement, noting that C.P. Group's feed business in China has been continuously growing since its initial investment in Shenzhen in 1979. Over the past 45 years, the feed business has had a substantial demand for raw materials and is a critical industry located at the beginning of the agricultural and livestock supply chain, directly impacting food safety for consumers.
As for COFCO, it is a leader in China's grain and agricultural industries and an international grain trader with global operations. Senior Chairman Dhanin expressed his hope that the two organizations could leverage their respective strengths and share resources to jointly promote global food safety and improve the quality of life for people.
Mr. Luan Richeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of COFCO, expressed his gratitude to Charoen Pokphand Group for their continued trust and support. He mentioned that COFCO has grown from a grain and oil import-export company into an international organization that covers agricultural product trade, logistics, processing, food production, and sales.
The signing of this agreement lays a solid foundation for cooperation in key areas such as the industrial chain and supply chain, enhancing the competitiveness of both organizations and meeting the growing demand for a better quality of life in the future.
