Safe Vegetables for Employees by Swine Business, Vietnam (C.P. Vietnam Corporation, Vietnam)
Nowadays, chemically contaminated vegetables are sold in abundance and are affecting the health of consumers. Therefore, in order to keep employees healthy and enable their access to fresh and clean vegetables, C.P. Vietnam’s Swine Business utilized vacant farmland to build vegetable greenhouses in response to the demand for safe vegetables for the Company’s employees. The project adopted composting technology to make use of manure from the production process and improve land resources. The project was initiated in 2017 to produce vegetables for the Head Office. It was subsequently extended to other plants in the farm’s vicinity. In 2019, the project started planting vegetables for employees of all farms under the Swine Business in the Southern region.
