Siam Makro Public Company Limited has adopted C.P. Group Sustainability Goals of Zero Food Waste and Zero Waste to Landfill. A process has been established to put food waste to good use instead of disposal by landfill. The food waste are sent to zoos to feed animals and to the Department of Corrections and Provincial Administrative Organizations to be processed into soil conditioners and organic fertilizers. In 2021, 46.5 tons of food waste were distributed.
